Katja Borovicka | The Work

Katja Borovicka

About:

At a young age, I started to believe that there was something terribly wrong with me. I found lots of proof that reinforced my “story” about myself. Although my life was successful on the surface, inside of me I felt incomplete, lonely, and desperate. I suffered from not being able to be the kind and loving person I wanted to be, especially with my dear ones, and not having any control over it. To end suffering I tried a lot, but nothing would give me a happier life in the long run.

In 2006 I found a book called Loving What Is which finally had the power to change my life. I started doing The Work on my own and I attended my first School in 2010. At first I didn’t notice much change in myself, although I did notice a change in the outside: close people and life itself became kinder and more supportive!

Today, I would say that I have a life worth living. The Work is “my daily business". I work in a company that offers The Work training and coaching. Also, I continue doing The Work for myself and in the Institute for The Work as a way to keep supporting myself. I found that freeing myself is a way of freeing the world.

What I appreciate about The Work is that it helps me to grow into the person I want to be, a loving mother of a seven-year-old daughter, a respectful partner and a kinder human being. It is also helping me to be a better communicator, with others and myself.

I have experienced The Work on a variety of issues, like inferiority, depression, fear of loss, bulimia, parenting, lack of purpose, and success, and I’d like to share The Work with you if you’re open to it.
