The Work has been a profound gift and, combined with mindfulness meditation, is my core practice in both my personal and professional life. My journey with The Work started in 2007 and through intensive practice, The Work has become second nature, and provides openings each time I am faced with challenging situations—instead of engaging in the old way of fight or flight, I take time out, breathe, and question what I believe, educate myself.
Living with the four questions and turnarounds has enabled me to live with more clarity and kindness than I could ever have imagined in all my relationships. It shows me where I am stuck in expectation or lost in anger, pain, righteousness, and frustration; where I am unable to see and receive the pure goodness and love that are available. Through inquiry, real life-changing insights reveal themselves in my own answers, and this wisdom is serving me in every aspect of my life.
The Work has helped me deepen my relationships with my family, friends, and colleagues; parent my daughter with love and integrity; access possibility and intelligence in stressful situations; stay connected and grounded in the face of physical disability; find trust in a friendly universe when loved ones passed away; and find peace and clarity again and again when I’m confused and lost in my life.
I received my deepest learning and training in the practice of The Work in the facilitator training offered by the Institute for The Work. As a certified facilitator (since January 2011), I offer personal coaching sessions in the Work, as well as personal retreats and workshops.
My formal training includes a degree as Teacher for Dance and Movement Therapy (Germany); Conflict Resolution (Vancouver Justice Institute); and Life Skills Coach Training (Vancouver). I currently work as a Manager at the University of BC and offer courses and workshops as my time allows.
In my personal life, I am grateful to call myself mother of a wonderful and much-loved daughter, cherish the relationship with my partner, and enjoy the company of friends, travelers, and furry creatures who grace us with their visits. I love to dance the 5Rhythms and my own, cycle through nature, garden, entertain and cook healthy meals, enjoy good books, movies, travel, and music festivals, and see myself as a lifelong learner.
I invite anyone to connect with me to do The Work on issues regarding relationships, co-dependency, addictions, parenting, body perception, death and loss, money, spirituality, or other areas you wish to explore. Whatever you bring is welcome here, and it will be an honor to serve you in this way. I am available by phone, Skype, or in person to facilitate The Work with individuals, couples and groups.
