The School Experience
The School provides a safe, loving, and supportive environment that meets you right where you are. The School for The Work isn’t for learning—it’s for unlearning. You’ll spend five days questioning the fear-based stories you’ve innocently clung to all your life. While immersed in inquiry, you’ll be free to explore life from an entirely new perspective that waits just beyond your stories.
At the School, participants and staff support one another as Byron Katie guides the group through a fascinating inward journey, free from the noise and distractions of everyday life. Often participants discover that the joy and peace found in their breakthroughs is matched and even strengthened by witnessing breakthroughs in others.
Many participants consider these to be the most important days they have ever spent. Insights and realizations continue long after the School has ended. People report that they experience life in a profoundly different way. For the first time they recognize that the universe is friendly, and they feel a powerful commitment to doing The Work as a daily practice.
The Curriculum
The curriculum at the School is a living, evolving process, changing with the needs of the participants and on the basis of past students’ experiences. The exercises and activities are designed to mirror Byron Katie’s experience during the year after she woke up to reality in 1986.

The Morning Walk
Each day begins with a morning walk.
After the School
Following the School, we have an aftercare program, free of charge, open to all participants. Graduates from the School are invited to join the Worldwide Institute for The Work of Byron Katie®, which offers an immersion in a daily practice and opportunities to become Helpline Volunteers, Course Trainers, and Certified Facilitators.
